Jewellery’s classes

With a volunteer Instructor help , we were able to provide classes for the Syrian refugees to learn  how to create and design  jewellery . Two groups attended sessions conducted by M to show them how pieces of jewellery – bracelets, necklaces, brooches – are made using locally available materials.  The result was these newcomers

Services for Refugees

We have taken a number of refugees from Iraq, Palestine, Iran, Syria, to help familiarize them with legal aid for their Immigration process & cases, to teach them the process required to get a Driver’s License, familiarize them with what to look for when shopping for furniture, Grocery and other needs, to help them apply

Gardening Class

Four newcomers were provided with time to use a plot in Scadding Court so that they could learn gardening & landscaping skills. Cooking Class

The organization, partnering with Nena’s Table, gathered four newcomers to attend  a cooking class. Volunteers showed them how Canadians cook their meals and were given information related to  where to get the ingredients for the three courses.
